Coffecito The Best Coffee Shop in Merida, Yucatan

Coffecito started as an idea my wife, Fernanda, and I couldn't let go of.

While living in California, we kept returning to the same conversation—what would it look like to build something of our own? Something thoughtful. Something intentional.

Mérida was always part of that vision. With Fernanda's roots here, it felt natural to bring the idea to life in a place that already holds so much meaning for us. Coffecito is our way of merging two worlds—the perspective we gained in California and the culture and community of Yucatán.

To shape it, I partnered with Mckenzie Hughes, a longtime collaborator on wine and restaurant concepts. Together, we approached Coffecito the way we approach everything: focused on experience, attentive to detail, and grounded in how a space makes people feel.

This isn't just a coffee shop. It's something personal.
